Clothing
We recommend to look at Pinterest to get some ideas. Our biggest recommendation is to use solids. Avoid any pattern, graphic, text or stripes. When you introduce that in the photograph it competes with the face of the child. These are the subtle details that make photos great.
The Process
1. Make Payment
To have an appointment scheduled you have two options, purchase the session in full or pay a $49 deposit to secure the day and time of your photo session.
2. Schedule the Appointment
Appointments are scheduled 1-2 weeks in advance. We do have cancellations for those clients who want to get scheduled as soon as possible. Just check to see if there have been any cancellations and ask be notified if any cancellations do take place.
3. Prepare for Photo Session
Sometimes there is no bathroom available so please make sure that your child uses the restoom before the photo session. If your appiontment is around a meal time make sure they have a chance to eat and drink something before their photo shoot. Avoid giving them gum or candy and consider brushing their teeth before the photo shoot.
4. Day of Photo Session
Try to show up 10 minutes early to do any final fixes to hair and brush their teeth. Talk to them and let them know what to expect. With kids there is not too much structure, we keep it real easy for them and try to make it more fun rather than adding a lot of unnecessary pressure.
5. After Photo Session
It takes (3) business day for the proofs to be posted online. Just narrow down your selections to the one's you like the most. Let us know your final choice and we'll retouch it for you.
6. Photo Retouch
Please allow (5-7) business days to see the results of the final photo retouched. You'll get a chance to request any areas you want adjusted or corrections.
7. Receive Final Results
You'll receive your final results through the mail for prints and through the online gallery for digital copies.
Custom Requests
The client covers the expense for any custom props, wardrobe, additional talent, special location. This will be discussed prior to the session. All purchases made will require client’s approval unless a budget is established and approval rights are given to the photographer.
